- 2 cups refined flour
- 2 tbsp wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon jeera
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds
- As needed oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- As needed salt
- As needed water
- 1 small bowl chanadal spilt chick peas soaked in water
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 2 chopped onions
- 1/2 teaspoon hing
- 1 chopped tomato
- 2 teaspoons jeera - dhaniya powder
- 1 teaspoon crushed ginger
- Few curry pata
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
Instructions to make to make Dal Pakwan
- Take a bowl put refined flour & wheat flour add the ghee, salt jeera, carrom seeds mix well, add water to the bowl little by little and mix make a slightly tight dough spread oil and cover it
- Rest for twenty minutes, after that remove it and mix the dough again, make balls from the dough and roll it and poke by the fork and keep aside.
- Put oil in the pan deep fry all pakwan until the colour is red&crispy
- Dal_ first soaked Chana dal for two hours in water then boiled in pressure cooker with adding turmeric powder, red chilli powder salt give one whistle and wait for pressure goes naturally from the pressure cooker,
- Now heat the pan add oil, then jeera, hing, curry pata fry lightly add chopped onions, saute add boiled chana dal mix well add jeera and dhaniya add ginger add garam masala powder mix well now add garam masala powder mix all and saute it until the dal is nicely cooked, tasty dal pakwan is ready.
